As much as Erin is a client of mine, she has expertly coached ME in non-violent communication, feedback delivery & conflict resolution.

The Context: I was so proud of Erin's tremendous growth in her wedding dance business and coaching business - all while taking more time to enjoy her life and rest more - that I created a newsletter celebrating her accomplishments. BUT - and it's a big "but" - I didn't ask for her permission to share her results (they were anonymous, but as I learned, that's not enough. It doesn't feel good to be surprised reading about yourself without being given the opportunity to weigh-in on how YOUR story gets told). Erin has worked her tail off to grow two incredible businesses and develop the trusted brand she has, in addition to her personal achievements like buying a home in Mexico; and she should have a say in how that story gets told.

Erin's Impact: She did what most of us are too uncomfortable and afraid to do -- she let me know it bothered her that I published that newsletter about her without asking. Erin has studied and honed non-violent communication skills for years. She's also a masterful speaker and facilitator. I got to see those gifts of hers in action during our work together.

She leads hard conversations with non-violent, but truthful, grace. She has a gift for talking about hard things in a way that is authentic, but not attacking.
